And so, instead of everything coming pre-pack and just opening it and throwing it into a frying pan, here is an opportunity that we can use and incorporate our Indigenous people.”At Pollo Tropical, it is all about fresh food; the service is fast and the food is hot and delicious, this is according to the Manager of the Franchise Operations, Mauro Leder.The sauces provided at the restaurant are their very own recipes. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of healthy fresh dishes, inclusive of marinated grilled chicken and unique side dishes such as black beans, yellow rice with vegetables, soups and much more.Chief Executive Officer, Terrence Campbell, said that they have brought Pollo Tropical to Guyana because, “we all know Guyanese love chicken, but everybody is focused now on frying their chicken and increasingly people want a healthier option”. Further, Campbell said that Pollo Tropical offers grilled chicken with a lot of tropical flavours including guava BBQ sauce, pineapple rum sauce, and curry mustard to name a few choices.Campbell said that they are, “giving Guyanese a healthier option in chicken, but it is as also as flavourable as your mother’s home cooked chicken.”For now, Pollo Tropical will only be doing dishes with chicken and pork.
